AMD vs. Intel

I’ve been hearing this question a lot, “what’s better Intel or AMD?” Well it depends on you and what kind of budget you have. If your on a small budget then I recommend AMD only because their processors are a lot cheaper compared to Intel. Lets say you wanted to buy a good Intel Dual Core CPU it would cost you $270 for a Intel Core 2 Duo E8600 Wolfdale 3.33GHz. But as for one of the best Dual Cores from AMD it would cost you only $120 for a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz.

That’s a pretty big difference in the price. But if you want to build or upgrade to a sick computer with unbelievable speeds a multi-task crazy Intel is so the way to go. Intel has had a Quad Core for 3 years and AMD’s Quad Core has only been out on the market for about 11 months. They also had a lot of problems in the beginning with using the Quad Core processor from AMD with certain motherboards or it would lock up all together. So if AMD wants to lead the CPU market again, their going to have to start making better processors.
